Scheduled Safe Maintenance & Institutional Service
Planned inspection, lock maintenance, and combination management for organizations with multiple safes — banks, schools, hospitals, government offices, and businesses throughout Eastern Kentucky.
Protect Your Investment. Prevent Costly Lockouts.
A safe that is never serviced is a safe that will eventually fail at the worst possible time. Mechanical locks wear down. Electronic locks develop faults. Combinations get lost when staff turns over. Scheduled maintenance keeps your safes operating reliably, documents their condition, and eliminates the disruption of an emergency lockout.
What Scheduled Service Includes
Safe Inspection & Condition Report
We inspect each safe in your facility — testing the lock, bolt work, hinges, door seal, and overall condition. You receive a written condition report for each unit, noting any issues found and recommended service. Useful for insurance documentation, audits, and capital planning.
Lock Maintenance & Lubrication
Mechanical dial locks require periodic cleaning and lubrication to operate reliably. Electronic locks benefit from battery replacement and contact cleaning. We service all lock types on-site, extending the life of your existing hardware and reducing the risk of unexpected failure.
Combination Changes & Access Management
Staff turnover is the most common reason institutional safes are compromised. We change combinations on all safes in your facility in a single visit — mechanical dials and electronic keypads — and provide a secure record of new combinations for your files.
Relocker & Security Feature Testing
High-security safes include relockers and other anti-tamper features that can trigger unexpectedly. We test these features to confirm they are functioning correctly and will not cause an unplanned lockout — without compromising the safe's security integrity.
Repair & Parts Replacement
When inspection reveals a worn dial, failing electronic lock, damaged bolt work, or other issue, we complete the repair on the same visit whenever possible. We carry common replacement parts and can source specific components for less common models.
Scheduled Service Agreements
For organizations with multiple safes, we offer scheduled service agreements — annual or semi-annual visits covering all units in your facility. One call schedules the entire visit. We work around your hours to minimize disruption to operations.
Why Scheduled Service Makes Sense
Prevent emergency lockouts
A failed lock during business hours costs far more in lost time and emergency service fees than routine maintenance. Scheduled service catches problems before they become crises.
Protect against staff turnover
Every time an employee with safe access leaves, your combination should change. A scheduled visit handles all combination changes across your facility in one efficient trip.
Maintain compliance documentation
Many industries require documented safe inspections for insurance, regulatory, or audit purposes. Our written condition reports provide the paper trail you need.
Extend equipment life
Properly maintained mechanical locks last decades. Neglected locks fail prematurely. Routine service is the most cost-effective way to protect your investment in quality safe equipment.

How Institutional Service Works
- 1
Inventory Your Safes
Before your first visit, provide us with a list of safes in your facility — brand, model, and location if known. We will confirm what parts and tools to bring for each unit.
- 2
Schedule a Visit
We schedule a single visit to service all units. We work around your business hours — early morning, after close, or during low-traffic periods — to minimize disruption.
- 3
On-Site Service
We service each safe in sequence — inspection, maintenance, combination changes, and any repairs identified. Most multi-safe visits are completed in a single day.
- 4
Written Report & Records
You receive a written condition report for each safe, documenting work performed, parts replaced, new combinations (in sealed form), and any recommended follow-up.
Schedule a Facility Assessment
Call us to discuss your facility's needs. We will review your safe inventory, recommend a service schedule, and provide an estimate for your first visit. No obligation.
